Activities at a glance…

  • 2023 (TBA): World digital premiere of the song cycle Liham. Presented by Renee Fajardo (mezzo-soprano), Danlie Acebuque (baritone), and Andrea Grant (piano). This new work is made possible with the financial support of the Ontario Arts Council.
  • 2022 (TBA): World premiere of Kina-i-ngátan. Commissioned and presented by New Music Concerts. Premiere by Guy Few (trumpet) (Toronto).
  • 2022 (TBA): World premiere of Kinaligta-án. Presented by Wesley Shen (harpsichord) (Toronto). This new work is made possible with the support of the Canada Council for the Arts.
  • 2022 (TBA): World premiere of O forse, l’ho già perduta poco a poco… Premiere by Wesley Shen (piano), presented by Freesound (Toronto).
  • 28-31 July 2022: World premiere of A Study in Exile, No. 3: Home is not a place on a map. Premiere by Amy Hull (dancer/choreographer), Rebecca Leonard (circus artist/choreographer), and the Thin Edge New Music Collective. Presented in “Anthropic Traces,” produced by Balancing on the Edge and A Girl in the Sky Productions (Toronto).
  • 22 July 2022: Digital release of Hanggang sa Takipsilim in “Mind & Machine, Vol. 4.” Released by Ravello Records.
  • 09 June 2022: Paper presentation of “Nomadic Sound Worlds: towards the transitory and the migratory” on Diasporic Solidarities, hosted by McMaster University (online).
  • 05 June 2022: Participation as a panel member of “Lost in Translation? When instruments and music are taken out of their cultural contexts.” Presented by Evergreen Gamelan Club and the Canadian Music Centre.
  • 30 April 2022: World premiere of Kinalugarán. Commissioned and presented by New Music Concerts (Toronto). This new work is made possible with the financial support of the Ontario Arts Council.
